Day on the Prairie Activities at Pioneer Bluffs

First graders from Emporia’s Village Elementary School converged on Pioneer Bluffs recently for a wealth of fun activities.  Anne Wilson shared lessons about the barn itself, songs about Flint Hills birds, wildlife around Crocker Creek and more.  In the Granary an introduction to cattle branding was provided by Jolene Paton.  Tracey Graham and SammyJo Happy led the children on walkabouts including history in the house and log cabin.  Paula Roper invited children into the children’s area for fun times.
