Volunteers building garden like grandma’s

Our volunteers have been hard at work building an heirloom garden on the east side of the Rogler Prairie Heritage Center. Sponsored by the Emporia Community Foundation, this garden will bring the beauty of flowers, herbs, and native grasses to Pioneer Bluffs.

You can be part of this “Grandma’s garden.” We are seeking plant donations. Do you have a cutting or plant you can share? Bring it to Pioneer Bluffs on or before May 5 and we’ll include it in our garden.

Does your plant have a special story? “This forsythia has been in my family since…” Please write it up and include it with your plant — or email it to lynn@pioneerbluffs.org. We will print your story in a brochure about the garden.

We also will accept plant donations this fall.
