Summer Sausage

A tasty snack to have on hand.

2 pounds lean ground beef

2 Tablespoons Morton Tender Quick

1 cup cold water

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 1/2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

2 finely chopped and seeded jalapeno peppers.

Mix and shape into 3 long rolls. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours. Take off wrap and bake uncovered for 1 hour at 300 degrees. Remove and cool.
